OPEN LETTER

Dear Buddhist followers in the country as well as all over the world!

Dear all, when we write books we write about things that people have not understood and help them to have thorough and no longer misleading comprehension.

We do not write things that people have already understood because if people have to read again and again things that they have understood, it would be very boring and a waste of time.

In our opinion, reading is to widen the knowledge, and so reading things that we have not known is to help us understand new things, it means to foster knowledge. Otherwise, there would be no benefit, even a waste of energy and time. Is that true?

Therefore book writers should pay attention to these matters. If we write a book and keep repeating what others have already written, the book has little value.

And so in case of having no new topic one should not write. As writing books should not be for fame and/or wealth (book trading) but for the benefit of all readers.

Canons have been displayed everywhere in the streets, in the markets, on the pavements, what value can such canons have?
Picking up a book to briefly examine, we could see it was full of plagiarism and copying words of others.

There are many topics people have not understood, why don’t you write about them instead of copying words and stealing ideas of others?
The first topic: do human beings have souls?
With this topic why don’t you write about it for people to understand?
The second topic: Mahayana canons are influenced by which ideology of the Chinese?
The third topic: Zenism canons are influenced by which ideology of the Chinese?
The fourth topic: where would these teaching methods lead practitioners to?
The fifth topic: are these teaching methods truly Buddhist?
The sixth topic: which method to practice Buddhism is right and which is wrong? Based on what foundation to know right from wrong?
The seven topic: what gives birth to human beings and where will we go when we die?
The eight topic: when human beings die what continues to take rebirth?

The above eight questions are the topics to help you write valuable books without having to repeat the understanding of others.
We choose to write about the topics people have not understood, therefore reading our books helps you broaden your knowledge.

People often understand that human beings have souls, we thus write to set right such wrong understanding, thanks to that the written topic is new and copious and makes the readers become more interested in this new knowledge.

The topics we have written surpass all hitherto existing custom and tradition and religious philosophies. Therefore they stir people’s ideology and people are no longer firm on their traditional ideology and religion.

The more we write the more we make our best to shed light on the truth so that people understand human beings do not have souls reincarnating from one life to another.

We write not to disparage the soul matter acknowledged by other books and canons, we only have one wish that we together shed light to the truth, so that people will not be lost in illusion to become neuropaths.

As such we cannot ignore, so what we have written in our books is to try to help people understand things they have not understood, help people understand the truth so that no one and no religion can deceive you.

Dear all! In this life there is no one who knows everything about the sky, the earth, the universe and human beings, there is no one with complete talents and virtues, there is also no one who knows everything from the past to the present.

We understand ourselves very well and thus write the knowledge which has been carefully considered. With such knowledge we would like to make suggestion to you to help you have similar understanding like us in case you want, but if you don’t - never mind. This is also our sharing of knowledge with you, we dare not to be your teacher, please kindly be understanding and excuse us.

With all respects,
The Venerable Elder Thich Thong Lac
